Website Administration

I have always loved the concept of running a website starting with the first few months of being on the internet when geocities was a popular thing to when I got my first hosting account at a website called cyberkit. I spent some time learning how to setup PHP scripts, managing MySQL databases, and working with forums in order to communicate with people over the internet. The internet is a place for information to be shared with others and for people to offer goods and services. It’s a place of entertainment and a way to find what you need. I find this to be the most interesting aspect of the internet which is why I love maintaining websites.

Video Games

One of the oldest hobbies I have is gaming. I started with playing games like Super Mario on the NES and Sonic on the Genesis. Some of my favorite games include both Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Pass and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 64, the .hack//Infection through Quarantine series, the Kingdom Hearts series, and even the Diablo and Starcraft series’. I have owned at one time or another every single Nintendo console starting from the NES and coming down to the Wii. I have also owned each of the playstation consoles as well.

Internet Relay Chat

Chatting over the internet has always been a trend for people to be able to find people interested in talking about similar topics with each other. I found IRC not only to be a good place for discussion, it’s a great place to make online connections and to learn from other people. I used to use it as a way to escape from the world when I lived in Maryland or when the weather was really bad and have eventually made some close friends, or even communicate with real-life friends through it including friends I see on a daily basis.

Mario Marathon

The Mario Marathon has been running since 2008 which is a group of three middle-aged men who are playing video games during an entire weekend while streaming it live over the internet in order to get people to donate money which will go to the Child’s Play Charity.
